Yes, Virginia, it is a hoax

I just got copied on this letter to the editor of an unknown college newspaper. Can't tell yet if it's real or not:

Dear MIster Reporter Man:

I don't think it was verry smart of you to be fulled by someone pretending tobe a little girl who's daddy was killed in Iraq. I think your newspaper made a misteak bye not checking out your sorces. I think you where blinded by hatred of Presdent BushChimpyMcHitlerBurton so that you blieved everything you hear. Thats not what a jurnalism student should do. Somebody should tell your jurnalism teacher on you so she can put you in time out.

I'm rily mad at you and you make my hart hurt. I don't think your doing a very good job. You people keep trying to demorrilize troops and get people to not support the soldiers in Iraq and it's not fair. Do you have a soldier of your own in Irak?

I thnik this person who did the hoax is mean like the piltdown people and should be forsed to be "it" in every game of tag, don't you? You shoud put a picture of her in your paper so we can mak fun of her.

P.s. I'm glad that I finely found somebody who nose how to spell "duesy" rite.

I am ate year old and am professor at an E-gip university in carbon-vile ILL and the fucalty all hate the butch-chimp-rove-hellburton-oil-for-blood-for-oil and I wish I had a mother which I don't heve but I wish I had one like mother sheehan so i could watch her on tv teach us how to hate this cuntry and to swear like a demented sailor and how to make up with the nice terrorists who only want to kill the mean butch-chimps and not me or her and i would run over my son too like she said she woulkd before I let him die for butch.

I hope you don't seriously consider the possibility that any of these letters were written by 8 year olds. Just read them again. You'll see what I mean.
