Gungod Jeff notes that the Brady Campaign to Empower Criminals is planning to put up billboards in Florida warning visitors that Floridians now have the right to use deadly force in self defense. I don't know if they have mocked up the artwork for them yet but I do have a draft to submit:

Works for me.

WBAP radio was doing a spoof on a weekly interview with Pres. Bush this morning. He likened Hurricane Rita's big miss on Texas and hitting Lake Charles as such: Texas is like President Reagan. We dodged the bullet and Lake Charles, La., is Brady, taking it for us.
God, it was in such poor taste, but I couldn't help laughing hysterically. Thank goodness it was before my dental procedure, so I wasn't drooling, too.
Posted by: Army of Mom at September 28, 2005 10:27 AMIt was a joke people ... NOT REAL. Figured I better put up a disclaimer before the moonbats start chanting about Bush blowing up levees or making hurricanes move back to Louisiana.
Posted by: Army of Mom at September 28, 2005 10:28 AMThat WAS in poor taste. But funny.
Posted by: Ken Summers at September 28, 2005 10:45 AMThanks to the Moonbats you can't say paralysed anymore, so I'll just say I'm physically disadvantaged with laughter and require assistance to regain an upright posture. ;-) Screw the moonbats.

And people who won't use deadly force can run around with t-shirts that say so - and see what happens!
(Floridian here, who thinks it's really nice of the Brady set to put up all those billboards warning criminals not to attack us.)
Kathy, that's a great unintended consequences outcome! :-)
