Epithet of the week

"Instead of calmly poking holes in Noer's thesis (which is easy enough to do) they start waving their Lee press-ons about like a bunch of deranged harpies on crack."

Wouldn't that be a great name for a rock band?

"Bunch of deranged harpies on crack works". The abridged "Deranged harpies on crack" doesn't. No shortening.

I should also learn to put the quotation marks in the right place. Yes, I'm a recovering idiot.

I'd go with the shorter version. It has overtones of "White Punks on Dope".

Actually, I thought the "Lee Press-Ons" would make a better band name.

That was the thing that bothered me about Noer's post and the responses -- neither side seemed very rational. Made me embarassed to be a man AND embarassed for women all at the same time.

I think there is or once was a band that was actually called "Lee Presson and the Nails" or something like that.

Why does the name make me think that "Lee Presson and the Nails" would be a cover band for Huey Lewis and the News? As if there weren't a stranger musical niche.
