At Marc's house, who noted that he managed to let "UN Day" pass yesterday without worthy fanfare. The best part of the post was a comment by someone called JP Gibb. "Celebrating UN Day by not doing anything seems appropriate, somehow."

Posted by: Emily at October 25, 2006 10:06 AMIt was a good comment, Marc.
Posted by: Cullen at October 25, 2006 11:18 AMHmmm...appropriate ways to celebrate UN Day:
1. Overthrow a small Third World government and install a Communist regime.
2. Write a letter complementing the Chinese government for its recognition of religious liberty.
3. Give money to the Palestinian Authority.
4. Tell the mayor of Los Angeles to give his police force a rest and allow sanctions and weapons inspections to work against the Crips and Bloods street gangs.
5. Throw darts at a poster of John Bolton.
6. Drink a toast to Alger Hiss, who led the American delegation that created the United Nations. Then hide some classified documents in a pumpkin.
