And I thought, 'These feel like whiskers.' So I stopped, and the animal popped up. He/she looked at me.Yeah, things are a bit, er, ambiguous in the City of St. Frisky. Posted by Ken S at November 16, 2006 07:30 PM | TrackBack (0) |

Posted by: Julie at November 16, 2006 09:47 PMIn an effort to move beyond harmful and outdated pinniped gender stereotyping, a more progressive policy for the dispersal of fish at San Francisco piers was announced. Henceforth, tourists will be sternly warned not to discriminate in their awarding of yummy fish treats. "We need to be sure the San Francisco pier is equally welcoming to postoperative transsexuals, cross-dressers and "seals perceived to be androgynous”," said a spokesman from the Marine Mammal Center.

Posted by: Ken S, Fifth String on the Banjo of Life at November 17, 2006 05:21 AMWhere I come from, animals that bite people get shot. We don't put up warnings telling people to stay away from the surley animals. We shoot them.
Of course, we also shoot animals for entering our homes, entering our yards, living in the wild, flying, swimming, walking, digging, breeding and breathing. And often we eat them.
