Congrats, Dave!
Posted by: Lisa at November 17, 2006 06:31 PMWoot congrats Dave. Now it will be a even a bigger pain to find you on MSN :p
Posted by: Andrew Ian Dodge at November 18, 2006 04:11 AMSeriously folks, I'm not ready for this. I guess they have more confidence in me than I have in myself.
Posted by: Dave J at November 18, 2006 09:07 AMCongratulations Dave! I think I know how you feel. My first archaeological job was actually doing inventory for a couple of museums in OK...and as if THAT wasnt exciting enough for me (at the time - didnt think Id get to do anything like that!) I was given a SUPERVISORY role! It was a scary feeling as well as a proud moment.
Posted by: Sharon Ferguson at November 19, 2006 11:04 AMI'm sure you're more ready than you think. You may not be as on top as someone who has been doing it for 6 months, but you'll become more and more comfortable with it and build your confidence.
Posted by: Bitter at November 20, 2006 08:27 AMDave, your bad-ass reputation precedes you.
Now, go score some for the good guys.
Posted by: merlin the fluid druid at November 20, 2006 10:06 AMWhat merlin said, Mr. Bad-ass. Lock 'em up!
Posted by: Ken S, Fifth String on the Banjo of Life at November 20, 2006 02:43 PMDave,
Just watch excessive marathon re-runs of "Law and Order." That'll learn you everything.
Won't it? Okay, I'll shut up now.
Posted by: Emily at November 20, 2006 06:26 PMDave now you have better chance of meeting my mate in the US Attorney's Office in Florida. Hopefully on the same side mind.
Posted by: Andrew Ian Dodge at November 21, 2006 08:43 AMEmily, I confess to being a recovering (OK, SEMI-recovering) L&O addict. And now I have the theme music running in my head...cool. :-)
