And he wants us to follow his advice about Iraq?

Heard it on the radio, found it at BOTW. Sen. Chris Dodd, current war critic, on March 12, 1975:

The greatest gift our country can give the Cambodian people is not guns but peace. And the best way to accomplish that goal is by ending military aid now.
Check BOTW to see what happened on April 17, 1975, if you don't remember.

Yeah, he helped give them peace all right...the peace of the dead.

I wonder if BOTW should stand for "Bozo of the Week."

What a vile and hateful little dwarf-man, chewing his spiteful cud again and again - and I mean no disrespect to Little People.

My dad has this t-shirt he gave me that he got when he was stationed over there. On the back, it's got an airplane dropping bombs and underneath that it reads "FLY THE FRIENDLY SKIES OF CAMBODIA."

I guess the murder and/or "re-education" of several million Vietnamese and Cambodians just wasn't enough, eh? The Good Senator really wants to spread that love all around!

A$$hole.

There's a simple way for the good senator to put his words to the test - apply them domestically.

"The greatest gift our country can get from the Cambodian people is not guns but peace. And the best way to accomplish that goal is by ending military aid now."

In other words, if we were beset on all sides and a foreign military was all that was holding back our enemies, would we want them out of here before we were safe?

How does a creep like this manage to stay in office?

Didn't need to check.

DirtCrashr - I suspect his constituents are as stupid - or perhaps sadistic* - as he is.

(*Well - what would you call someone who supported a decision resulting in torture and murder of over 1.5 million people - and, knowing that result, is urging the same sort of decision again?)
