Uh, okay

Of course, this is the state of Walter Mondale and Jesse Venturea. This could be fun. (Via Julie)

Ouch, that Mondale bit hurts. But don't worry, I'm already manifesting Franken's defeat.

I still think they should have renamed the main highway connecting the twin cities Ventura Boulevard.

I've come to the conclusion that there is an unofficial competition between California and Minnesota...

You know, there are few people I'd say FTFO to if I met them in person, but Franken strikes me as one of them. He's just so damned SMUG.

I think yousuns meant "VenturA," me dear.

Posted by: Emily at February 15, 2007 06:14 AM

Well, he is good enough, he is smart enough, and doggone it, people like him!

Posted by: Lisa at February 15, 2007 06:14 AM

Yeah, I did. 12 hour days suck

He is so butt ugly.

I'd never vote for Franken, but could a Congress of comedians really do any worse than the Congress of lawyers we have now?

Posted by: Tainted Bill at February 15, 2007 06:57 AM

I would have to say it depended on who the comedians were....I can think of several that would be much, much worse...

Posted by: ricki at February 15, 2007 07:43 AM

A Congress of Comedians? We could at least laugh while Rome burns, instead listening to a fiddle.

Posted by: The_Real_JeffS at February 15, 2007 07:58 AM

Of course, one could argue that we already have a Congress of Comedians.....

Posted by: The_Real_JeffS at February 15, 2007 07:59 AM

Clowns, more accurately.

Two words: Sonny Bono.

Posted by: Julie at February 15, 2007 09:16 AM

Was he worse than Ted Stevens is?

Posted by: Tainted Bill at February 15, 2007 09:18 AM

Is he gonna finance his campaign with the money stolen from Air America?

Posted by: DirtCrashr at February 15, 2007 10:01 AM

Air America HAD money? I mean, they had money they stole from Girl Scouts, but money of their own?

Posted by: Nightfly at February 15, 2007 02:28 PM

Al was paid pretty well by AA, it's one reason why they tanked financially.....maybe he tucked away some for his campaign? ;-P

Posted by: The_Real_JeffS at February 15, 2007 03:11 PM

The other reason they tanked is that they had to pay radio stations to broadcast.

Sonny Bono turned out to be an okay Congresscritter, certainly better than Ted "his kids should take a lesson from the Eskimos" Stevens. His kids should consider adopting Robert Byrd, too.

The Franken announcement reminds me of soemthing: it's the Chinese Year of the Pig.
