This could be like Kent Hovind's evolution challenge, where unless you show him a dog giving birth to a cat, you won't win.

On the other hand, it could be like James Randi's psychic powers challenge, fair and legitimate.

It's Steve Milloy, so my guess is that it will be fair and legitimate.

You hold Milloy in much higher esteem than I do. While I admire his efforts against the Food Nazis (CSPI) and the anti-smoking nuts, his definition of junk science only seems to include science that doesn't agree with his political ideology (or, to be more cynical, the financial interests of his sponsors).

I'll adjust it to say "defensible". I know Milloy is very politically one-sided and I've found him to be wrong on some items, but not unreasonable or indefensible.

While I'm not accusing Bill of this, it's interesting that the Warm Mongers use the point he made to supress skeptics: When their Cult of Consensus is challenged by the existence of unbelieving scientists, they dismiss these heretics by claiming they're all just Shills for Big Business or Right Wingnuts (cue Vader's March).

Never mind that it's a blatant Ad Hominem and merely dodges the challenge of conflicting arguments. Even if it were relevant, are we to believe that all proponents of Man-made global warming are pure as the driven snow, untouchable crusaders for Truth without any self-serving ulterior motives *cough cough grant money cough cough* and completely unswayed by the considerations of their own politics or personal philosophies?

There's an old saying about being born at night....

That competition is a complete joke. Karl Popper would have a thing or two to say about it.
