Sure, Boston, New York and Philadelphia will be threatened, but these are geographically confined areas that could lend themselves to protection by Dutch-style dikes.

I don't even know where to begin with this one. Just as a fr'instance, does this manure-for-brains seriously think that cities like New York and Boston are better equipped to ride out a flood (assuming one ever happens) than places where we aren't all living jammed up nose to asshole? The streams of refugees are a lot more likely to be going the other direction. And be assured, we don't want them here, either.
Posted by: Joel at December 28, 2007 01:28 PMDave Lindorff shouldn't have stopped at looking at a US elevation map - he should have also checked out this map of major oil reserves in the lower 48. Keep in mind that the red staters have no compunction against offshore drilling.
I guess the Left really does need alternate energy sources :-)
