Well

That's shaping up to be the shortest TV episode on record. Just saw, while watching a little bit of "Universe", a teaser for the upcoming episode at 9 PST ("God's Time"). Went something like (parapharased because I don't recall the exact teaser wording), "Constellations - for thousands of years people have been looking to them. Can they tell you your personality? Your future? Yada yada yada (lots more filler to fill in the commercial spot)"

Short answer: No

I have no idea how they will fill the other 59+ minutes, and don't intend to stay up long enough to find out.

I'll let you know. My Earth Science teacher Hubby will be taping it.

The History Channel is such a disappointment, they constantly put out crap like this. UFO Hunters and Ghost stories, what fucking nonsense. They're even doing a lousy job with the history lately.

Bring back the 24/7 WW2 footage!

Yes. I think they should be sued for false advertising, along with The (Allegedly) Learning Channel, for putting on conspiracy-theory crap and totally unfounded stuff like "What's In Area 51?"

I particularly reserve my ire for the spate of Nostradamus programs. I hate the whole Nostradamus fervor with the heat of 40 million suns.

Surprisingly, History-International (which I get on my digital cable) tends to be a bit better, actually carrying programs on, you know, stuff that actually happened. Like, in the past.

I love History International, along with the Science Channel. Military History sticks to actual facts and events as well.

While I like a lot of what is on the Discovery Channel, they lose me with nonsense like "Psychic Detectives" and crap like that.

Marc wrote something about all this ghost and UFO nonsense at the History Channel a couple of weeks ago. "Please bring back the Hitler."

Wait....it's "sweeps" this month, innit?

Maybe that's why there's so much headbangingly awful stuff on....it's like the PBS pledge drives in reverse (where they put on some really good stuff, but you have to deal with it being interrupted every 8 minutes for them to beg for money)

Is History Channel even affected by "sweeps"?
