"Buy American"

Got this by email this morning. I've seen variations on the theme but this one has been updated based on recent events:

Tax Rebate

One morning President Bush said each one of us would get a $1200.00 tax rebate. It was previously slated to be $1400.00, but they dropped it to a 1200.00 tax rebate because of various budget problems.

Now, if we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China, if we spend it on computers, most of the money will go to Korea or India.*

If we spend it on gasoline it will all go to the Arabs.....and none of these scenarios will help the American economy. We need to keep that money here in America .....so the only way to keep that money here at home is to drink beer, gamble, or spend it on prostitution. Currently it seems that these are the only businesses still left in the U.S.

BUY AMERICAN - ELIOTT SPITZER DID!

Why yes, yes he did.

Hmmmm.... don't drink American beers. My taste in women would forestall American hookers.

Though I suppose I can gamble... but what happens when I end up winning money? What do I do with the extra money?

Um, buy Native American hookers and firewater?

I assume KG equates "American Beer" with Sex-in-a-canoe beers like the major breweries make, but anyway...

We've decided our rebate money will go either to my tuition, or towards a startup fund for my wife's small business idea.

I'm thinking of an ammo loading set up. How much more American can that be?

My rebate will pay down some of my debt. Is there anything more American than debt?

I saw a financial expert on TV talking about
investments during a recession. He said alcohol
is always a good investment, because no matter
how poor people are they always buy alcohol.

Greg,

Yup. I used to work in the mail room of a stock brokerage, and the three stocks I heard mentioned over and over again as good long term investments were Coca-Cola, RJ Reynolds, and Anheuser-Busch.
