Return of the unredead

Our old friend, the Pagan Saudi Arabian Vampire, is in the news again.

'Vampire' convict dies in Bolivia

American who called himself after a fictional vampire and who was serving 30 years for fatal bombings in La Paz has died, Bolivian officials say.

[...]

He went by the name Lestat Claudius de Orleans y Montevideo, derived from the vampire novels by US author Anne Rice.

Amero, originally from California, had been convicted of carrying out the attacks with his Uruguayan ex-girlfriend, Alda Ribeiro Costa, 47, who was also jailed for the maximum 30-year term.

Huh. I thought they couldn't die.

Maybe he went out into the sun? They can die if they do that.

Maybe they had him working in the garlic patch in the sun? He looked pretty unkillable.

I thought a stake to the heart would finish off a vampire...or maybe a pork chop to the heart if it's a Saudi Arabian vampire?

Naw, they probably put a crucifix in his cell. That would get him two different ways.

Shame on you all for making fun of someone who was a lost soul. He was severely abused mentally, physically and sexually, tortured and tormented. He made several bad decisions that led to jail. It's a complicated and very sad story. I understand what he did was inexcusable, but please have some compassion.

Please remember there are people who were his family. And when things are written like this it's not funny, your further hurting others that are already in terrible emotional pain from the 20 some years of seeing his life's mistakes and powerless to help.

It's all in God's hands now.
May he rest in peace.

This is how I remember him.

Uh...Misty Rose, shame on you for showing up and giving a bunch of strangers that you know absolutely nothing about a condescending lecture on this "lost soul." Sorry if I'm a little too busy spending my compassion on the people he killed.

It is in God's hands now. We'll let Him decide if "Lestat" is deserving of redemption. He certainly hadn't earned it yet on Earth.

Your obviously a very intelligent and compassionate person. May god bless you.
