One of the Volokhs, a few years ago, noted that Bush's pronunciation (which, BTW, irritates me as much as when Jimmy Carter did it) seems to be more of a regional accent than an ignorant mispronunciation. But tell it to the lefties.
But for goodness' sake, don't note how some people commonly say "axe" for "ask".

That said, Dodd faces reelection every 6 years and probably had the wrong job in mind. Still, not much of an excuse.

But Google actually responded with "See results for: bush nuclear pronounce".....including the emphasis.
The mind boggles.
