Interesting, Jeff. One of the Volokhs, a few years ago, noted that Bush's pronunciation (which, BTW, irritates me as much as when Jimmy Carter did it) seems to be more of a regional accent than an ignorant mispronunciation. But tell it to the lefties.

But for goodness' sake, don't note how some people commonly say "axe" for "ask".

I can relate to Dodd, it definitely feels like 4 years of Bush has lasted 6.

That said, Dodd faces reelection every 6 years and probably had the wrong job in mind. Still, not much of an excuse.

Ken, the silly thing about that Google search is that I originally entered "Bush nuclear".

But Google actually responded with "See results for: bush nuclear pronounce".....including the emphasis.

The mind boggles.
